UC Dominant in Quadrangular Meet
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. — The Union College swimming team had an impressive showing in a quadrangular meet held at Robsion Arena Aquatic Center on Saturday. Overall, the men’s team collected 137 points, and the women’s team had 115 points to easily beat Campbellsvile, Berea, and Bethel.
“Today was a good meet for us to evaluate how deep our roster can be,” said head coach Rafael Forti. “We have had a chance to observe several of our swimmers in events they traditionally do not have a chance to compete in, and the results from it were valid for what we were trying to accomplish today.
“An interesting point about today’s meet is that fact that it was, possibly, our last meet at the Robsion Arena Aquatic Center. It has been very fun to host meets here since it’s located at the heart of campus, and we’ve always had such tremendous support from our fans while swimming in here.”
